Vitality Crowned BLAST Austin Major Champions After Beating The Mongolz

Vitality secured the BLAST Austin Major title after a hard-fought 2:1 victory over The Mongolz (5:13 on Mirage, 13:4 on Dust2, and 13:6 on Inferno). The French team earned $500,000 for the win, while the Mongolian side took home $170,000.

This marks the second Major victory for the French lineup — their first came at BLAST Paris Major. In the current season, Vitality has shown dominant form, winning seven major events in a row and claiming the ESL Grand Slam 5 title along with a $1 million prize.

The team’s sniper, ZywOo, was named the tournament’s MVP by HLTV. His average rating was an impressive 1.42 across 13 maps. This marks his second MVP award at a Major and the 27th MVP medal of his career.

The Major took place in Austin, USA, from June 3 to June 22, with a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
