Team Spirit Crowned Champions at PGL Astana 2025

The champions of PGL Astana 2025 were determined on May 18.

The grand final featured a clash between Astralis and Team Spirit. On their way to the grand final, Team Spirit dropped only one map (in the semifinals against FURIA) — all other matches were won without conceding a single map. Astralis finished the group stage with a 3-1 record and defeated Natus Vincere (2:1) and Aurora Gaming (2:1) in the playoffs.

The decisive best-of-5 series began with a confident win for Spirit on their pick, Dust II (13:5). Astralis attempted to strike back on their own pick, Nuke, but fell short (10:13). Only on Mirage did Astralis manage a dominant performance, securing a 13:5 victory, but on Train, Spirit capitalized on match point in overtime (16:13).

The total prize pool for PGL Astana 2025 was $625,000. The winners claimed $200,000, Astralis earned $93,750, and Aurora Gaming, who won the third-place match, received $75,000.
